For the edjumacation of Reverand JJ

Jesse Jackson pipes in yesterday regarding this photo ...

Reverend JJ's take? Here ...
“did the ultimate insult.  She put her finger in his (President Barack Obama) face.”

Reverend? Surely you know this isn't the ultimate insult. Lemme show you ...

Thanks Johnny!
See the difference?

Killer Robots; the future is here.

h/t Global Guerrillas

Alright. Drones. That. Make. Decisions. To. Kill.

Didn't anyone at Northrop Grumman see any of the Terminator movies?
This does not bode well.

Robb also mentions super-empowerment of drones for peons too.

California realtors using drones are just now getting their LAPD notices now to cease and desist.

This may be technology that the .gov likes and uses ... but it's not for you.

Stealing You Blind, with Higher Ed

h/t Midwest Chick

As I was reading in Stealing You Blind, runaway, entrenched bureaucracies, needn't actually fulfill their primary mission, or contribute anything of value. A current example is served up smartly at
Non-Original Rants: And yet we're supposed to trust them to write regulations...

As a matter of fact ... The growing ignorance of the American student population does nothing but increase their budgets.

The current Secretary of Education is another Chi-Town transplant. Richly rewarded for the fine state of Chicago's schools.

Government reading

Mentioned in "Stealing You Blind"

http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/26184

Specifically, linking the directions for sabotaging an organization ... and it's implementation in bureaucracies everywhere. See if any of these look familiar.

Page 28; General Interference with Organizations and Production
Insist on doing everything through channels ... When possible, refer all matters to committees ...
Sounds like .gov SOP.

Circa 1944 ... Declassified 1976? Timeless tactics.

Stealing You Blind

How Government Fat Cats are Getting Rich Off You
by Iain Murray

This expose is a quick 'n easy read.
It may not be helpful to those with hypertension.

Bottom line? .Gov is huge. H.U.G.E.
And growing.
The largest employer in the nation.
With underfunded Cadillac Pensions.
.Gov is doing all kinds of things that they've got no business doing.
The things that .Gov should be doing, it neglects and/or does it poorly.
The book details numerous examples with citations.

All of the above is common knowledge and easily admitted by any pol in front of a camera, while he or she vigorously points their finger across the aisle.

The difficulty lies in reaching agreement on whose ox gets gored.
Up to the point that it all collapses under its own weight.

Stifle it!

Megaupload site takedown in the Chicago Trib.
... indictment was unsealed one day after websites including Wikipedia and Craigslist shut down in protest ...
It's interesting that the story criss-crosses the globe. Arrest made in New Zealand.
The alleged dollar amounts are also interesting. $500 mil in lost revenue. Cyberthief alleged to have received $24 mil in ill-gotten gains in 2010.

Those inter-tubes sound like wild territory!
